Simulated Opals

Simulated Opals

Opals are the national gemstone of Australia. They are very rare, fragile and each one is unique. Many of the characteristics of a natural opal can be found in a simulated-Lannyte opal, although they are not chemically identical. The biggest difference is that natural Opals contain water, while the Lannyte-simulated opal does not. These gemstones come in a variety of colors with black and red being the rarest but the variations and differences are endless. Just like natural opals, no two Lannyte-simulated opals are exactly alike. Yet their beauty is mesmerizing! With this in mind, the Lannyte-simulated opals cannot be covered under the Lannyte Guarantee.
